Camp Flywheel

Much like a summer camp, Flywheel’s three-month summer internship is an opportunity for college students to learn new skills, gain valuable life experience, and most importantly, have a fly time! So we channeled our inner Wes Anderson, grabbed a few of our favorite things around the office (like Chewie, one of the office dogs), and built this whimsical, parallax site to spread the word and show potential interns what Flywheel is all about! With a custom font, hand-made elements, and in-house photography, Camp Flywheel is infused with the spirit of Flywheel.

This 3D interactive portfolio reimagines the digital resume as a fully navigable universe. Engineered by Senior Full Stack Developer Medhat Alkadri, the experience leverages Three.js, custom shaders, and highly optimized Blender models to deliver a buttery-smooth WebGL environment across desktop and mobile devices. Visitors explore a planetary system of technical skills, dive into custom WordPress and headless CMS case studies via dynamic UI overlays, and interact with a 3D globe mapping out international client experiences. It balances a high-end creative aesthetic with rigorous, scalable front-end performance.
